There are several foods that humans are familiar with but can cause serious digestive problems in dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic rules for feeding dogs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Do not give food from the table. A person consumes food with various spices and other ingredients that can be especially harmful to the dog’s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Do not overfeed the animal. The daily ration is calculated based on the age of the dog and its breed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Number of feedings – 3-4 times a day for puppies and 2 times a day for adult dogs. During pregnancy, lactation, and illness, the dog can be fed 3-4 times a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The daily diet of an animal must contain trace elements useful for its body. 50% of the diet is meat and protein foods, about 20-30% is allocated to cereals, about 20% – dairy products, and no more than 10% – vegetables and fruits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. It is better to feed the dog simultaneously according to the schedule, for example, 1.5-2 hours before the walk or an hour after the walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Experts advise against feeding the dog during the day. Complementary feeding is relevant only during physical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. After feeding, the dog should not be allowed to remain in the bowl of uneaten food. The container should be cleaned of food debris and washed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. If there are several dogs in the house, each of them must be provided with a separate bowl for food and water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. There should always be clean drinking water in the free access of a pet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ready-made industrial food is a convenient product for feeding pets, which does not require cooking and calculations of the constituent components required by natural feeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Study the composition of the feed carefully. Perhaps some of the ingredients are contraindicated specifically for your animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Pay attention to the date of manufacture, expiration date, and storage rules. It is unacceptable to give your pet an expired product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experienced breeders and veterinarians recommend choosing premium, super-premium, or holistic foods for pet dogs that have a balanced composition beneficial to the animal’s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nutrition with natural products<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many owners, choosing natural foods for feeding the dog is the optimal solution. Determining this type of food, you need to immediately calculate the required daily portion for the animal, taking into account its age and breed. It is important to remember that the food served must contain all the necessary vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial trace elements in the correct ratio. If you are having difficulty calculating your diet, consult an experienced veterinarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pros of natural feeding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. The owner can independently choose quality products for the dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
